Hagar Qim Temples

Hagar Qim is located to the south of the island near the village of Qrendi.  The temple dates back to around 3600 – 3200BC.  The site consists of a main temple and other temple ruins, which could be even older and stand a few meters away.

Since these pictures were taken a massive conservation project has been completed with the temple complex being protected from the elements by a rather elaborate tent like structure.  There is also an excellent newly built visitors situated just a few meters away.
